Another Apple service comes to Samsung’s sets!
Back in 2019 Samsung became the first smart TV company to access Apple TV app and now it is getting access to the Apple Music app. This latest development of the unusual partnership between Samsung and Apple again makes Samsung the first smart TV platform to get an Apple app out of Apple TV set-top box.
Apple Music app is like the one available on Apple TV and it offers full access to Apple Music content, including radio stations, For You playlists, videos, and more.

What does it mean for Samsung users?
It seems Samsung is trying its best to retain customers and make its smart TV more useful. During the global pandemic when everyone is stuck at home Samsung is trying to bring entertainment at home with ease. It first made fitness apps available and now Apple Music app free for 90 days.
Not only this, since Samsung already supports AirPlay 2 to stream Apple Music users had to use a secondary device. However, with today’s announcement subscribers will be able to listen to their music directly. This means no longer they will need another device to stream content.
On what devices is the app available?
Starting from today the app is available on Samsung smart TVs from 2018 through the recent models. This means devices that already support the Apple TV app will have Apple Music too.
How to access the Apple Music app on Samsung TVs?
To access Apple Music app, simply sign in with your existing Apple ID and Apple Music account. Alternatively, you can also start the subscription process from the TV. If you sign up for an Apple Music account through Samsung smart TV you are eligible for three-month trial offers.
To sign in using Apple Music app follow the steps below:
- Head to Apps section on your Samsung smart TV.
- Launch Apple Music app > Continue from the Welcome Screen.
- If you are a subscriber click Already a Subscriber on the Apple Music app page and follow on-screen instructions.
That’s it you can now use the Apple Music app on Samsung TV.
These additions are remarkable but might inspire people to buy a Samsung smart TV. As far as I am concerned, until the economic crises are behind us, I will stick to the TV I have. But if you happen to have the latest Samsung Smart TV these additions are worth enjoying.
