Samsung Electronics finally has an answer for people who feel carrying both their laptop and tablet to be one gadget too many. The super slim Samsung Notebook 9 Pro, a new revolutionary flexible laptop, is now available at a mass market-friendly price of $899.
The next generation notebook is one of the most raved-about PC releases of 2017. The notebook comes chock full with features that make it one of the most powerful and the most versatile laptops on the market.
The Seoul-based electronics giant first announced this latest addition to its notebook line to the world on May 30, 2017 and its 360-degree hinge allowing the notebook to convert to tablet mode. The touch-ready screen forms a perfect canvas for free hand writing and drawing, thanks to the built-inS Pen.
Layered with Windows 10 and proprietary Samsung apps
The Notebook 9 Pro is the world’s first notebook designed with S Pen input capability. Slightly different from the fuller-sized stylus the brand uses on its Galaxy Note smartphones, the S Pen discretely melds into the underside of the laptop.
The S Pen does not require any charging. Once you remove it, the Command Air Feature opens up, allowing you to draw, make hand written notes, as well as create, take, and notate screenshots.
As it has done with its Galaxy line of smartphones, Samsung is layering its own apps on top of Windows 10 Home the Notebook 9 Pro runs on. These apps include some that come pre-installed in the Galaxy smartphones and tablets that run on Android, like Samsung Notes and Samsung Link Sharing.
Immersive multimedia experience
The notebook’s infinitely intuitive interface is enhanced by an IR camera that supports facial recognition for easier authentication through Windows Hello. The laptop guarantees a fully immersive multimedia experience thanks to the RealView display, which delivers remarkable brightness and color accuracy.
Behind the notebook’s impressive list of features is a mean Intel 7th generation Core i7 processor for a fast paced computing experience. The laptop is offered in two full HD screen sizes, a 13.3-inch with 8GB of RAM and a 15-inch screen size that crams in 16GB of RAM. Both models come with a 256 GB SSD.
With Samsung claiming the notebook has an all-day battery life, the laptop is convenient for busy creatives, recreational users, and professionals alike. Besides the conventional charging port, the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro is equipped with a USB-C port that you can also use for fast-charging the laptop. You’ll need the power with all the proprietary Samsung and Windows 10 apps as well as systems running in the background.
The Samsung 9 Pro has upped the game when it comes to Windows PCs. At launch, the notebook retailed at $1,009 for the 13.3-inch model and up to $1,299 for the 15-inch screen model. But now, you can snag the 13.3-inch model for $899 at some retailers. It will be interesting to see how the other PC makers will respond to this Samsung release.
