Radeon Pro Duo Is The World S First Dual Gpu Graphics Card With Double The Performance Speed

AMD recently revealed the first graphics card with a dual-GPU: the Radeon Pro Duo. It’s built on Polaris architecture and features the capabilities of the Radeon Pro WX 7100 for delivering amazing performance and the highest flexibility for creative professionals.

Radeon Pro Duo Features

The Radeon Pro Duo delivers up to two times faster performance in comparison to the Radeon Pro WX 7100 and to its closest competing professional graphics card, the NVIDIA Titan X.

It features 32GB of super-fast GDDR5 memory for handling large data sets. It operates at a maximum power of 259W and it harnesses 72 compute units (4608 stream processors) for a combined performance of up to 11.45 TFLOPS of single-precision compute performance on one board. The Radeon Pro Duo allows professionals to use up to four 4K monitors at 60Hz and to drive the newest 8K single monitor display at 30Hz using only a single cable. They can also drive an 8K display at 60Hz if they use two cables.

Ogi Brkic, the general manager of Radeon Technologies Group, says that the professional workflows in today’s world continue to become more and more complex, and they often demand that creators switch between many apps to get on with their work. AMD designed the Radeon Pro Duo to eliminate all these constraints with the goal of empowering professionals to multi-task without making any compromises and dedicating the GPU resources only where they’re needed.

AMD promised that it will provide a larger palette of choices in the ways professionals practice their craft, enabling superior multi-tasking, accelerates apps, and powerful solutions for the most advanced workloads.

The Radeon Pro Duo will be available at the end of May and will cost around $999.
