Another Sonic The Hedgehog game is in the works from Sega, titled Project Sonic. It’s a 3D game set to release in 2017 for the Xbox One and PC systems and we expect it to be ready in time for Project Scorpio, Microsoft’s next video game console.

We’ve had several Sonic video games in the past, but this is the first one in a long time to be designed in a 3D world. Sega has been playing it safe with the franchise, and is now prepared to go all out in hopes to return Sonic to its dominating phase. Sega released a CGI trailer that shows both classic and modern designs of the character.
We have played several Sonic games in the past, and the majority of them weren’t as good as they should have been. It is clear that Sonic is no Mario or Zelda, hence why fans should not expect much when going in. However, we can only hope Sega does a far better job this time around because Sonic definitely needs a strong showing on consoles and on the PC.
Have a look at the trailer below and tell us what you think.
If you’re looking for some with more Nintendo, how about checking out Minecraft for the Nintendo Wii U. It comes with several Super Mario-related themes, arguably making it the best version of Minecraft on any console.
