How do I fix the PayDay 2 mods not working problem?
1. Check for correct mods placement
- Open File Explorer and navigate to the game installation folder. If you have downloaded the game from steam, navigate to the following location:C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\payday2\
- Open the mods folder and manually find and copy the mods without mod.txt files in the folder.
- Go back to the main mods folder. Open the Assets folder and mod_overrides folder and paste the copied mod files in the mod_overrides folder. If no such folder exists, create a new folder named mod_overrides inside the Assets folder.
- Delete the copied mod files from the original location.
Close the File Explorer window and then try executing the mods again to see if it is working.
PayDay 2 has two types of modes. Modes that require a mods.txt file should be placed inside the Mod_overrides folder. Incorrect placement means the mods cannot be used during gameplay.
