In December 2014, we let you know that Street Fighter 5 wouldn’t be available on Microsoft’s Xbox. Of course, many ST fans were disappointed, but now Xbox users have the chance to hold their heads high. Rise of the Tomb Rider will be released exclusively on Xbox this year.
If some of you still cannot believe this is true, here’s a good piece of evidence to convince you. This information has been confirmed by Aaron Greenberg, Microsoft’s global product marketing director. Go to his Twitter account, and see for yourself.
This second games is a sequel of the first game and, as you all know, is based on Gail Simone’s Tomb Rider comic books. So far, we don’t have any information on the exact release date. What we do know is that the game is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2015, so this means somewhere in October-December 2015.
However, the exclusiveness is not that “exclusive”, so to speak. In an interview for Eurogamer, Microsoft’s Xbox head, Phil Spencer confirms that the exclusive deal has a duration.
All in all, this is all the information that has been revealed so far about Rise of the Tomb Rider. Many details about the plot or the locations are still unknown. Let’s hope that leaks reveal more or at least that Microsoft officials give us more details about this game version.
“There are certain things I’m just not going to talk about because it’s a business deal between us and them. Obviously the deal does have a duration. ”
So far, this is description we’ve got on the Xbox page:
