Tootis seem to be the “In-Thing” these days. But what is a “Tooti”? What they actually mean is the British “Tot” to mean “a small amount of a strong alcoholic drink such as whiskey or brandy”. A few days after Africell released their first Tooti Voice bundle that we found to be quite competitive, MTN Uganda has released a new kind of Tooti that gives users data valid for 30 minutes to one hour at half the price.
Previously, all we had were Tooti Voice bundles that gave users On-Net minutes with a short validity but now, we have the same for data. The MTN Tooti Bundle gives users 50MB at 500 300 shillings valid for 30 minutes and 100MB at 1000 500 shillings valid for 60 minutes.
What MTN has done is slash two of its most popular bundles by half but decrease their validity. We thought about use scenarios for this product and we found it be a convenient product. Imagine if you needed to access the internet urgently but didn’t need it for long. That’s where 100MB for 1 hour would come in handy.
To get the MTN Tooti data bundle, just dial 15046# for 50MB valid for 30 minutes or dial 15747# to get 100MBs valid for 60 minutes at only 500 shs.
