Microsoft continues to push out updates pertaining to the upcoming Creators Update, so users on the Windows Insider platform continue getting a first glimpse of what’s coming.

Due to some issues with the Fast Ring, the newest update has been pushed directly to the Slow Ring and it revolves around Microsoft’s Movies and TV app.

Many Windows users appreciate the Movies and TV app and they will even more so once they get a look at the newest improvements coming to the app.

For starters, the most important feature to mention is support for 360-degree video, meaning users will be able to view this type of content directly from the Movies and TV app.

It will come as a great addition thanks to the popularity of the immersive experiences as of late.

That isn’t the only thing coming to the app in the new Creators Update. According to the new Insiders update, it will also feature a new section for the app that provides trailer content.

Those that enjoy watching trailers now have their own place for watching the latest for the upcoming blockbusters. In the changelog, this feature is marketed as a tool for “binge-watching” trailers.

Another very helpful addition is the MPEG-2 format which will allow users to play a wider range of files. Once the update is downloaded, the app will prompt users about the necessity of downloading the MPEG-2 codec. Everything’s free and it will only take a couple of moments to get the codec up and running.

Video management

Video management is also getting a facelift, with the new added options for viewing video content as part of a collection. The bought and rented sections will appear under a single tab, and the user’s entire downloaded catalogue will be available to view in another singular tab.

Currently, it is only available for Windows Insiders, and it will still take a bit of time before the Creators Update makes its way to the live version of Windows 10.
